Hi, I'm Dakota Brinkley from Nickerson high school and was on the snare like all four years of high school. This summer I will be on the cymbal line for the Skyriders this summer. Last summer I was part of a two day performance camp in Hutchinson, Kansas. That was my first real  Drum Corps International experience. While at this camp I played snare on a whole new level from just my high school marching band. I found myself really enjoying the whole thing even watching the blue devils rehearsal and performance. After the whole thing I really wanted to do it all again, I then went to camp trying snare once more. I didn't make it on to the snare but they had plenty of spots opened on the cymbal. So I took the spot, never played cymbals for marching band before. Now I'm taking the opportunity to play cymbals and have an amazing time marching this summer.
